Last night I watched a TV show I can easily see myself getting into - The Paradise.
The Paradise is a British period drama. It follows a young woman, Denise, who works in a department store and gets caught up in the charms of the modern world (source).
Airing last night, Saturday the 2nd of February at 7:30pm, on ABC1 here in Australia, I really liked the first episode.
Joanna Vanderham (who I've never heard of) plays Denise, the main character. She reminds me a lot of Elle Fanning and I really like her as a character, particularly her determination and her pleasant attitude.
I can't really write much more up about The Paradise after only watching the first episode but I urge you to give it a go, you'll be glad you did.

So I took your advice and watched the first episode and really liked it! But the outfits are what I adore, such beautiful dresses
